$1.5 Million Settlement in Motor Vehicle Liability Action Against Motorist and Corporate Employer

The Defendant motorist was operating a company truck traveling northbound on a 4 lane highway when he ran a red light striking the Plaintiff who was traveling westbound attempting to turn left onto a 4 lane city roadway. The impact caused substantial internal injuries to various parts of the Plaintiff’s body including her head, neck, lungs, spleen, pelvis and back. The Plaintiff filed suit against the operator and his employer for vicarious liability. The case settled for $1.5 million shortly before trial.
