$3.25 Million Settlement in Motor Vehicle Liability Action Against Driver Who Violated Right of Way of Motorcyclist
The Defendant motorist was operating a motor vehicle traveling northbound on a 2 lane highway when he attempted to make a left hand turn westbound violating the right of away of an oncoming motorcyclist. The motorcyclist struck the front left side of the offending motor vehicle resulting in the ejection of the motorcyclist . He was not wearing a helmet. The motorcyclist died at the scene from head related injuries. He left a surviving pregnant wife and one minor child The case settled for policy limits of $3.5 million.
