$2.25 Million Dollar Settlement In Bicycle Product Liability Case
The Plaintiff was a 50 year old bicycle enthusiast who purchased a foreign (outside the United States) manufactured mountain class bicycle from a Hillsborough County retailer. Later, during a routine bicycle ride in Orlando the frame suddenly collapsed causing him to fall and suffer mortal injuries. The Plaintiff’s wife as personal representative filed a wrongful death action against the retailer and the foreign company. The case settled for $2.25 million dollars.
