1.7 Million Settlement in Negligence Action Against Owners and Operators of Kawasaki Utility Vehicle
The Plaintiff was a 56 year old female attending a birthday party for a family friend when she was invited for a ride on a Kawasaki “Mule” utility vehicle . The vehicle was driven by the owner’s 16 year old daughter. The Plaintiff was a belted rear seat passenger. While driving the vehicle the driver made a turn at an unsafe speed causing the vehicle to roll over on its side crushing the plaintiff’s right leg. The Plaintiff suffered a serious degloving injury resulting in multiple surgical procedures, treatments, expenses, and a loss of earnings. The case settled for the policy limits of $1.7 million.
