$1 Million Settlement in Breach of Contract Action
Defendant, a third party administrator of health insurance claims, orally agreed with Plaintiff, also a third party administrator of health insurance claims, to purchase certain proprietary data management systems software from Plaintiff which were designed to reduce the cost of administering medical claims. The defendant refused to purchase the software. Plaintiff filed suit for breach of contract and other legal remedies. The case was settled for $1,000,000.
